Mitzi Henley and her husband, Bear, were married for 41 years, prior to his passing in 2020. Throughout their marriage they were part of an amazing church small group focusing on marriage enrichment. Recently, Mitzi attended an Adventures in Marriage (AIM) workshop with a friend. She recognized similarities between this workshop and what she and Bear had participated in weekly with their small group, during their many years of marriage.
Having been raised in the Panama City Beach area and now owning multiple businesses in the community, Mitzi makes it a point to serve her community by being an advocate for many important issues and causes that are close to her heart and aligned with her beliefs. She has a strong desire to help keep couples and families together and strong, so after learning about the staggering divorce rates in her area and what Live the Life is doing to change that, she decided she wanted to find ways to help Live the Life continue to do that important work.
She started small; posting flyers in her businesses that would promote Adventures in Marriage workshops and invested time recommending Live the Life classes to others. She invited local Live the Life staff to give presentations at various groups/clubs or organizations of which she is a
part, and most recently, MItzi reached out and asked if she could host an event in her home that would allow more of her likeminded friends to be introduced to LIve the Life and what we are doing in the Panama City Beach area. The result of this dinner was very impactful. Multiple pastors were there, who are now looking to host an AIM workshop in the next few months. Several individuals whose companies have possible fundraising opportunities that Live the Life can be part of, have started the process to assist. Along with a new contingent of individuals who now know about Live the Life and are willing to share that knowledge with others are doing so. We are keeping them all informed on upcoming local and corporate activities and will be asking them if they would be willing to host a similar type of event in the future. Mitzi Henley is a passionate volunteer and is helping other local business and community members empower their own circles of influence to support God's vision of marriage and reduce the divorce rates along the Emerald Coast of Florida with her Live the Life partnership.
